Andrew Andrascik, 90, of Vero Beach, passed away at VNA Hospice of Indian River on Sept. 24, 2016.
He is survived by his loving wife, Viola; four daughters, Ann Sneigocki, Helen Andrascik Smith (Zach), Cora Argotti (Ralph) and Emilia Andrascik; and eight beloved grandchildren, Adam (Teri), Emily and Molly Sneigocki; Lily, Ben and Eli Smith; Mikayla Argotti and Tara Miller Andrascik.
Andrascik was born Feb. 4, 1926, in Kamenica, Slovakia, and journeyed to the United States as a young student.
He graduated from Carnegie Mellon University with an engineering degree and had a long career with Blawnox Co. in Pittsburgh, Pa., where he raised his family. He also worked for Vara International.
Andrascik was an engineer at heart, who was interested in nature, music, art, good food and the company of his family.
A memorial service will be held at Holy Cross Catholic Church at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his name to the VNA Hospice of Indian River.
