State Board of Education approves score change for GED

INDIAN RIVER COUNTY — The State Board of Education has approved changing the score required to pass the GED test from 150 to 145. These changes will apply to any person who took the test after Jan. 1, 2014.

Candidates with a minimum score of 145 on all four test modules will be issued a State of Florida High School Diploma with a diploma date of March 23, 2016.

The change was effective March 23, 2016, and at that point the Florida Department of Education began outreach efforts to contact anyone who was affected by the approved change to the score.
