Meta Carol Richards, 70, of Vero Beach, passed away on Feb. 17, 2016, at Indian River Medical Center
She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Ronnie Richards of Vero Beach; sister Susan Meeks of Vero Beach; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by sisters Louise Swink and Jeanne Bailey; and brothers Erwin Mergott, Julius Mergott and Norman Mergott.
Richards was born in Cranford, N.J. and lived in Vero Beach for 62 years coming from Millington, N.J. She attended Vero Beach High School.
She was co-owner, with her husband Ronnie, of Ronnie’s Paint and Body, Vero Beach for 36 years before her retirement in 2003. She was a member and past president of the Vero Beach Elks Lodge 1774.

Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m., Friday, Feb. 26, 2016 at Strunk Funeral Home, Vero Beach. A Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, Feb. 27, 2016 at Strunk Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Crestlawn Cemetery. Condolences may be made at www.strunkfuneralhome.com.
