Woman accused of DUI manslaughter arrested again for DUI

SEBASTIAN — A Sebastian woman accused last year of DUI manslaughter was arrested again on Sunday for driving a motorcycle under the influence of alcohol.

Taylor Alannah Harris, 25, of 790 Rolling Hill Drive, Sebastian, still faces a felony charge for DUI manslaughter and a new misdemeanor charge for DUI.

Authorities stopped Harris traveling 93 miles per hour in a 45 mile per hour zone, near Dale Wimbrow Park in the 11000 block of Roseland Road, according to the arrest affidavit.

Harris told authorities she was driving fast in fear because an unknown vehicle attempted to run her off the road twice.

After failing to pass several road side sobriety tests, Harris was transported to the Indian River County Jail for booking, where she failed two Breathalyzer tests blowing 0.113 and 0.119, the arrest report shows. The legal breath alcohol level is 0.08 in Florida.

Harris was the driver in a single vehicle crash on Interstate 95 last April that killed her 23-year-old passenger, Michael Richard Lang. Initial reports showed Harris lost control of the vehicle during a rainstorm and crashed into a tree.

Lang was not wearing his seatbelt and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Harris was booked into the Indian River County Jail on Aug. 25, 2015, for the April incident. She was released the next day after posting $25,000 bond.

Harris is now being held without bond after her arrest on Sunday.
