C. Eugene ‘Gene’ Brady, Vero Beach

C. Eugene ‘Gene’ Brady, of Vero Beach and Naples, passed away on Dec. 23, with his wife Alice by his side.

He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Alice; five children, Pam (Ron) Kinsey of Noblesville, Ind., Holly (Ray) Rudie of Oregon City, Ore., John (Maggie) Brady of Naples, Fla., Angie Servais of North Attleboro, Mass., and David (Tracey) Brady of Ridgefield, Conn.; 12 grandchildren, Nicole Chasnow, Kristin Hoopingarner, Ashly Kinsey, Candice Lorenz, Kyle Rudie, Matthew Rudie, Kaitlyn Rudie, Alan Brady, Molly Brady, Ryan Brady, Evan Servais, and Ainsley Brady; and nine great-grandchildren.

Born in New York City and raised in Columbia, Penn., Brady graduated from Columbia High School in 1951, Lehigh University in 1955 with a Master’s degree in mechanical engineering and an MBA from Michigan State in 1974.

He worked at Chrysler Corp. for 24 years. He then went to Stanadyne in Windsor, Conn., retiring from there as President and CEO. He was a member of the Moorings Golf Club in Vero Beach and Twin Eagles Golf Club in Naples.

He loved his family, golf, and travel.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Jan. 9 at 3 p.m. at Christ By The Sea UMC, 3755 Hwy. A1A, Vero Beach, FL.
