Michael N. Giovanniello, 93, of Vero Beach, passed away on Nov. 6, 2015, at Indian River Medical Center.
He is survived by his son Michael Giovanniello (Ginny) of Brookfield, Conn.; daughter Mary Weiss (Andrew) of Noblesville, Ind.; grandchildren Rachel, Colin, Steven, Jessica and Kevin; sister Domenica Nicora of Boynton Beach; and brother Vito Giovanniello of Homdel, N.J.
He was preceded in death by his wife Sarah in 2005.
He was born in Brooklyn, N.Y. and lived in Rockville Centre, N.Y. prior to moving to Vero Beach permanently more than 30 years ago.
Giovanniello was a U.S. Army Air Corps veteran during WWII. He retired from the NYPD as a Leiutenant. He was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church, Vero Beach, Knights of Columbus and was an avid sportsman, collector and horticulturist.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m., Saturday, Nov. 14, 2015 at Holy Cross Catholic Church, Vero Beach. Interment will be in Crestlawn Cemetery.
