James Earl Austin, 55, of Vero Beach, passed away Oct. 5, 2015 at his home.
He is survived by his brother William E. Austin and his fiance Michele Hudson of Port St. Lucie; nephew Kyle E. Austin of Orlando, and a cat YoYo.
He was preceded in death by his parents Howard E. and Nancy May (nee Jackson) Austin.
Austin, as he was called, was born in Washington D.C. and recently moved to Vero Beach from Orlando.
He had worked in the hotel industry.
Austin enjoyed antique collectibles and focused on Washington Redskin memorabilia, lighters and shot glasses. He loved football – go Gators and Redskins – and loved rock-and-roll.
A memorial service celebrating the life of Austin will begin at 3 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 10, 2015 at the Strunk Funeral Home in Vero Beach.
