Sebastian holds Community Patriot Day Observance Sept. 11

SEBASTIAN — The annual Sebastian Community Patriot Day Observance will be held on Friday, Sept. 11, to memorialize the attack on the United States which took more than 3,000 innocent lives, and to honor the heroic First Responders.

It will be held at the Sebastian Riverview Park at the Veterans Memorial beginning at 8:43 a.m. This event will include the Sebastian Veterans Honor Guard, massing of Color Guards, Ms. Debbi Hanford, St. Peters Academy Choir, Bagpiper Michael Hyde, a wreath laying ceremony, and local officials.

The keynote speaker will be Indian River County Sheriff Deryl Loar, who will enlighten the crowd about activities which pose a threat to this Great Nation.

The Sebastian VFW and American Legion Posts will both host Open Houses to follow.
