4-H Dog Masters Club holds youth orientation meeting

INDIAN RIVER COUNTY — The Indian River County 4-H Dog Masters Club is holding an informational orientation meeting for families interested in joining the 4-H Dog Masters Club.

The informational orientation will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 8 at 6:30 p.m. at the Dogs For Life Training Center located at the northeast corner of 12th Street and 16th Avenue (1230 16th Avenue).

Membership is open to all youth between the ages of 8 and 18 and members are not required to own a dog. A member’s age is determined by his or her age as of Sept. 1, 2015, or if he or she is still in high school.

Have fun with friends and dogs using positive reinforcement. Some exciting activities planned for the year include basic dog training, participation in the Dogs For Life Howl-O-Ween Pawrade and Pet Expo, Indian River County 4-H Dog Masters Club Spring Dog Show and Agility Demonstrations.
