Chamber of Commerce announces ‘Leadership Indian River County’ graduates

INDIAN RIVER COUNTY — Leadership Indian River County is a community leadership program offered by the Indian River County Chamber of Commerce. The seven session training program brings together a cross-section of the community representing a social, economic and geographic population for a hands-on, multi-disciplinary study of the community.

The program is based on a model that incorporates nourishing and developing community leaders: building community knowledge, developing leadership skills, and gaining an understanding of community stewardship.

The Chamber began Leadership Indian River County in 2006, and has graduated 186 individuals. The leadership graduates have been inspired to open their own businesses, have taken leadership positions in their companies and at local non-profit organizations; while some have gone into public elected positions.
