Stella Metcalf, 102, of Vero Beach, passed away on Feb. 21, 2015.
She is survived by her son Steve Metcalf of Altamonte Springs, Fla.; daughter Jean Benedict of Racine, Wis.; sisters Helen Piekarski of Vero Beach, Genevive “Jean” Butkiewicz of Brookings, S.D., Stefane “Sally” Bunal of Rome, N.Y., Frances Rembisz of Stokes, N.Y.; eight grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Jay Metcalf and daughter Helen Mueller.
Metcalf was born in Syracuse, N.Y., and has been a resident of Vero Beach for the past 57 years coming from Deansboro, N.Y.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, Feb. 27, at 10 a.m. at Aycock Funeral Home, Fort Pierce.
