Humane Society seeks toy and treat donations

INDIAN RIVER COUNTY — The Humane Society of Vero Beach and Indian River County (HSVB & IRC) is seeking donations of pet toys and treats for the shelter’s dogs and cats. The Humane Society’s greatest need is for sturdy rubber and rope toys in different sizes that can withstand lots of playtime and be easily washed and disinfected. Puzzle toys that release treats when they are moved around are also needed.

“Toys play an important role in helping us to enrich the lives of shelter pets while they wait for their forever homes,” explained Cissy Sumner, the Humane Society’s Animal Behavior Manager.

Donations are gratefully accepted at the Humane Society, located at 6230 77th St., Vero Beach, the Humane Society Thrift Shop in Vero Beach, located at 4445 20th St. or the Humane Society Thrift Shop in Sebastian, located at 441 Sebastian Blvd (Rt. 512).
