Community support brings holiday cheer to families

VERO BEACH — Throughout this holiday season, community groups and organizations have rallied together to make a difference in the lives of families enrolled through Childcare Resources. Community Church of Vero Beach, St. Paul’s Church, Bent Pine Golf Club and Widows with a Purpose provided more than 100 gifts for babies and young children.

“We are thrilled that we can make this season of joy and love a little brighter for some children,” said Elaine Matthes, Minister of Community Life and Mission at Community Church of Vero Beach.

Jennifer Taylor is one of the parents who benefited from gifts provided by the community. While picking up gifts for her two children she explained, “This program is such a blessing. Although I work full time, my funds are exhausted on bills and it’s difficult to find spending money during the holidays.”
