FELLSMERE — Vice Mayor Joel Tyson is the first to officially qualify for the Fellsmere City Council municipal race this November.
Three seats are up for election on the Fellsmere Council dais. Those seats currently belong to Tyson, Mayor Pro-Tem Fernando Herrera and Councilwoman Jessica Salgado.
No one pre-qualified for the election and no one else has yet to step forward to be considered.

The qualifying period runs Aug. 21 through Sept. 5.
