VERO BEACH — Former Vero Beach City Councilman Brian Heady has qualified to run in the Vero Beach City Council election.
He joins businessman Charlie Wilson in the race for three seats on the dais.
Those seats are currently held by Councilmen Jay Kramer and Craig Fletcher and Councilwoman Pilar Turner.
The qualifying period began on Aug. 21 and closes at 5 p.m. on Sept. 5.
