SEBASTIAN — Local owners of Captain Hiram’s resort are betting on the City of Sebastian. President Will Collins, Tom Collins, Mickey Capp, and Liz Capp recently purchased Best Western Plus Sebastian Hotel and Suites.

The property includes 56 rooms and suites. It will retain the Best Western franchise. The new addition will be managed by Will Collins and his team from Captain Hiram’s.

“We are thrilled to be a major part of accommodating and entertaining guests, first at Hiram’s, and now at the Best Western Plus,” Will Collins said.“We continue to be committed to the growth of Sebastian.”

The new acquisition is located just two blocks North of Captain Hiram’s Resort on US 1. The owners plan to offer the many live entertainment available at the resort to their guests staying at the Best Western Plus.

“We have a huge demand for accommodations on weekends, and the addition of the new rooms will greatly enhance our wedding, events, and catering business,” Will Collins said.

The purchase was financed by Harbor Community Bank.

“Brian Hartman from [Harbor Community Bank] was involved from day one and did a great job helping us make this deal. It was good to work with Mr. Brown and his sun , Mike Jr., again, as I have enjoyed a long banking relationship with their team,” Tom Collins said.
