‘Mardi Growl’ to raise funds for needy pets’ medical treatments

VERO BEACH — The pups are pounding the pavement with their two-legged friends raising funds to help other pets in need of medical care with “Mardi Growl” on March 15.

This true 5k (1k for older or special pets) is located at and hosted by the Vero Beach Athletic Club owner Bob DelVecchio.

The 5k is just the start of the day. Following the race will be a People and Pet Health Fair to take place beginning at 10 a.m. including vendors of all kinds to demonstrate how to live and eat better, demonstrations by Indian River County Sheriff’s K-9, live music, food and so much more.

Mardi Growl will be held at 2300 5th Ave., Vero Beach, near Parc24 and Omni Financial. Race time is 8:30 and the People and Pet Health Fair runs from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.
