Indian River State College offering Open Houses Oct. 21-25

TREASURE COAST — The Fielden Institute for Lifelong Learning at Indian River State College (IRSC) will kick off its full season of offerings with Open Houses held the week of Oct. 21-25 at all five IRSC campuses.

Free and open to the public, men and women age 50 and better are invited to join the group for coffee and conversation and learn about the more than 45 programs being offered in 2013-2014.

All of the open houses will be held in the morning from 9:30-11 a.m. On Monday, Oct. 21, in Stuart, the group will meet in the Wolf High Technology Center Auditorium on the Chastain Campus; Tuesday, Oct. 22, in Vero Beach at the Richardson Center Auditorium, Mueller Campus; Wednesday, Oct. 23, in the McAlpin Fine Arts Center lobby, Main Campus, Ft. Pierce; on Thursday, Oct. 24, in Port St. Lucie in the Schreiber Conference Center on the Pruitt Campus; Friday, Oct. 25, in Okeechobee at the Williamson Center on the Dixon Hendry Campus of IRSC.

The purpose of the Fielden Institute for Lifelong Learning is to deliver peer driven programs that enhance the knowledge and social experiences of its members and increase community awareness and appreciation of IRSC.

Volunteers lead a wide variety of member requested offerings on topics including computer, history, current events, music, wellness, literature, and art. The offerings are designed for men and women age 50 and better and do not apply to any IRSC degree or credit program.
