WEST PALM BEACH — Alzheimer’s Association, Southeast Florida Chapter, is a support group that will hold meetings for newly diagnosed individuals and their care partners on the first Wednesday of the month in West Palm Beach from 2-3:30 p.m.
Social engagement activities and outings will occur on the third Wednesday of the month (or another scheduled date) at various locations in Palm Beach County.
All individuals must preregister and be prescreened by calling Jamie Brodarick at (561) 967-0047, ext. 221 or Donna True at (561) 967-0047, ext. 501.
The Alzheimer’s Association, Southeast Florida Chapter, is a local 501 (C)3 organization committed to helping the families of Okeechobee, St. Lucie, Martin, Palm Beach, Broward, Miami-Dade, and Monroe counties.
The chapter advances efforts for researching a cure through fundraising at its signature event Walk to End Alzheimer’s, and provides support and educational services to more than 200,000 persons with Alzheimer’s disease, their families, and caregivers in its service area.
The cost is free for early stage individuals and their care partners; however, preregistration is required.
This group will meet on the first and third Wednesday of every month starting this September and will continue through February 2014.
