VERO BEACH — Get in the time machine. The Vero Beach High School Orchestra department presents “Bach to the Future” spring concert on Tuesday, May 21, at 7 p.m. in the Performing Arts Center, 1707 16th St.
Enjoy the award winning VBHS Symphony Orchestra as they perform historical masterpieces of literature including Tchaikovsky’s Symphony Number 4, as well as futuristic tunes like the Empire Strikes Back Medley by John Williams.
The VBHS Philharmonic Orchestra will also perform Bach’s Brandenberg Concerto No. 3 and Borodin’s Sinfonia for String Orchestra. The Concert Orchestra will perform Bach’s Air arrangement while the freshmen will perform the theme from Schindler’s List and a Russian Peasant Dance.
The Gifford Middle School advanced orchestra will take you to distant lands with Scenes from the Emerald Isle, Viva La Vida, and Swedish Rhapsody, with the Beginner orchestra presenting Defender of Time and others.
All seating is reserved at $12 orchestra level and $10 mezzanine level.
