Atlantic Classical Orchestra announces “Friend-Raiser” Feb. 18

VERO BEACH — The public is invited to attend a “friend-raiser” Monday, Feb. 18, hosted by Vero Beach Friends of the ACO (Atlantic Classical Orchestra) at 11:30 a.m. at the Vero Beach Country Club located at 800 30th St.

The event features lunch and a performance by the Vero Beach High School Chamber Orchestra, directed by Matthew Stott. Stewart Robertson, ACO Artistic Director and Conductor, will be on hand to preview the orchestra’s two remaining concerts of the 2013 season and to introduce the student ensemble.

“This will be a wonderful opportunity for lovers of classical music to learn about the ACO, its concerts at the Waxlax Theatre, and the Chamber Music series presented at the Vero Beach Museum of Art. Newcomers are most welcome,” said Mary Shoaf, ACO board member and chair of the event.

Tickets are $30 per person.

$100 sponsorships are also available. Sponsors receive one ticket and will have their names printed in the program.
