Puppy Love Parade on Bougainvillea Ln. Feb. 10

VERO BEACH — The Blue Ribbon Charitable Foundation is hosting the first every Puppy Love Parade with Blue Star Wine Bar as its home venue.

Valentine’s Day is around the corner, and thanks to the Blue Ribbon Charitable Foundation, along with the help of Blue Star Wine Bar, this holiday is going to the dogs.

Sunday, Feb. 10, from 2-5 p.m., Bougainvillea Ln. will be closed, and in place of parked cars you will find an array of pet-friendly fun.

Hosted by Martin Lavander, founder of the Blue Ribbon Charitable Foundation, this event will help raise awareness of the organization as well as its pet medical assistance program (PMAP) which financially helps people who can’t afford medical care for their pets.

“It’s a great way to help a good cause that keeps pets in warm beds while also having a crazy fun time,” stated Mr. Lavander.

Aside from great food and drinks, there will also be live music featuring the Rick Collins Band and the Treasure Coast Percussion Society.

Activities at this dog-friendly event include: a Pet Parade with prizes for Best Dressed Dog, a crazy fun Tandem Cupcake Eating Contest for our human friends sponsored by Frosting on Cardinal Dr., a doggie kissing booth, Valentine’s picture booth, and other great raffles, prizes, and valentine gifts.

Fine wine, beer, and soft drinks will be available for purchase.

All donations will be accepted at the entrance.
