Heritage Center to host Mardi Gras Feb. 9

VERO BEACH — New Orleans is coming to Vero Beach.

Be one of the lucky people to attend this authentic Mardi Gras celebration at the Heritage Center in downtown Vero Beach on Feb. 9 from 7-11 p.m.

Dance to live New Orleans-style music and enjoy authentic bayou cuisine. Formal attire is admired but not required; creative masks and costumes are desired.

Paintings by the area’s finest artists will be on display.

Visit with a gypsy tarot card reader, if you dare.

Two cash bars will provide the spirits. Cap off the evening at our Cafe Monde coffee bar.

Ticket price is $75 per guest. Advance purchase is required.

Attendance will be limited to 225 guests, so purchase your tickets as soon as possible by calling (772) 770-2263, by email at www.VeroHeritage.org, or in person at the Heritage Center, located at 2140 14th Ave. in historic down town Vero Beach, Tuesday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Funds raised from this event go towards the preservation, restoration, and maintenance of the Heritage Center, a fixture down town since it first opened.

Built in 1935 as the original Community Building, the Heritage Center is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and is a vital link to the history of our community.

The Heritage Center still serves as a key meeting place for public gatherings, dances, parties, weddings, and on Feb. 9, it’s the place to be for the first annual Moonlight Mardi Gras.

Sponsorship opportunities are still available. For sponsorship information, please contact Rebecca Rickey at (772) 770-2263 or by email at [email protected].
