VERO BEACH — On Wednesday, May 30, at 10 a.m., Vero Beach Lifeguard Association will be conducting a water safety class for students of the Indian River Homeschool Association and their parents at South Beach Park in Vero Beach.
Senior lifeguards Tim Capra and Josh Harris will be heading up a team of lifeguards from the VBLA to teach students the importance of water and beach safety in this one hour class.
Topics to be covered include sunburn prevention, beach and water tips, rip current awareness, marine creature identification, lifeguard tower operations, and general first aid.
