Stephen Nagy, 86, Vero Beach

Stephen Nagy, 86, died March 21, 2012, at Indian River Medical Center.

He was born in Chicago, and lived in Vero Beach for 29 years, coming from Illinois.

He served in the Navy as a navigator during World War II.

Before retirement, he taught print shop, wood shop and photography for Reavis High School in Burbank, Ill.

Survivors include his daughter, Cynthia Schneider of Park Ridge, Ill.; sons, Richard of Evergreen Park, Ill., and Jeffrey of Vero Beach; sisters, Irene and Charlene; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Jean; son, Stephen; and brother, Eugene.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Jean Nagy Memorial Fund at the Vero Beach Art Club, 3001 Riverside Park Drive, Vero Beach, FL 32963.

Services will be at a later date in Chicago. Arrangements are by Cox Gifford Seawinds Funeral Home & Crematory in Vero Beach.
