VERO BEACH — The City of Vero Beach Recreation Department, the Recreation Commission and Vero Beach City Manager Jim O’Connor honored 19 Junior Staff Volunteers, ages 14 to 16, on Tuesday, July 26. The volunteers, who donate up to 320 hours each, assist with the Vero Beach Recreation Department’s Aerial Antics and Sports/Aquatics summer camps at Leisure Square.
Panera Bread sponsored the beach-themed recognition breakfast which was organized by Recreation Commissioner Judy Jones, and volunteers Joe Coakley and Ruth Cook. Recreation Commission Chairman Dick Yemm and Recreation Commissioner Greg Holtan were also in attendance.
