Edwin Anthony Korzun, 77, died June 27, 2011, at the VNA/Hospice House in Vero Beach.
He was born in Winooski, Vt., and lived in Melbourne since 1983, coming from South Burlington, Vt.
Before retirement, he worked for GE and was an environmental scientist for the Department of Energy and a professor at Florida Institute of Technology.
He was an Air Force veteran, where he served as an electrical warfare officer on B-52s.
He graduated from the University of Vermont and earned his doctorate from Florida Institute of Technology.
Survivors include his companion, Susan Talbert; sons, Edwin A. Korzun Jr., David L. Korzun and Daniel J. Korzun; daughter, Catherine Moore; brother, Bernard Korzun; and six grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Korzun.

A service will be private.
