Janet M. Smith, 86, died June 11, 2011, in Sebring.
She was born in Cleveland and lived in Vero Beach.
She attended Florida State College for Women in Tallahassee.
She was a longtime member of the Order of the Eastern Star and volunteered many years as a candy striper at Parma, Ohio, Community General Hospital, the PTA in the Parma schools and the recreation department for the city of Parma.
Survivors include her sons, Ronald Smith, of Sebring and Larry Smith, of Greenville, S.C.; daughter, Jacquelin Smith, of Columbus, Ohio; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, William E. Smith.
A private family service will be at Morris Funeral Chapel, Sebring.
