VERO BAECH — The Indian River County Chamber of Commerce in cooperation with SCORE and the IRSC SBDC will present the workshop “Understanding Florida Sales Tax” on Wednesday, June 15, from 10:30 a.m. to Noon at the Chamber offices. The workshop will be conducted by SCORE Counselor Tom Spear.
Topics that will be covered are:
• What is Taxable
• Registration and “Resellers Certificates”
• Responsibilities and Procedures
• Great Information for Consumers Too
• Enterprise Zone Exemptions
Mr. Spear has his B.S. Engineering at Case Western Reserve University and MBA at University of Michigan. For 32 years, he held a variety of business and technical positions with Ford Motor Company Product Development, 29 years as an executive. Spear has been an adjunct business instructor at Indian River Community College and is a counselor with SCORE and the Small Business Development Center.
