Ella Mae King, 91, died May 4, 2011, at VNA Hospice House in Vero Beach.
She was born in Alamo, Ga., and lived in Indian River since 1962, coming from Waycross, Ga.
She was a homemaker.
She was educated in the public schools of Wheeler County, Ga.
She was a long-time member of Northside Agape Ministries Church of God in Gifford, where she served as a church mother, choir member and vice president of noonday prayer.
Survivors include sons, Simmie King, Leon King and Willie James King, all of Vero Beach, and Billie Ray King, of Kansas City, Mo.; daughters, Mae Reatha Tomlin, Pearl Parker, Evelyn Parker, Ida Mae Dawson, Carolyn Ross, Dorothy Ervin and Mary King, all of Vero Beach; brother, Arthur Lee King Jr., of Hazlehurst, Ga.; sisters, Rosa Lee Fisher and Bertha Mae Johnson, of Hazlehurst; 61 grandchildren; 126 great-grandchildren; and 30 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert King Sr.; two sons, Norman King and Robert King Jr.; daughter, Daisy Owens; one grandchild; one great-grandchild; and one great-great-grandchild.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. May 13 at Northside Agape Ministries Church of God in Gifford.
A celebration of life will be at 10 a.m. May 14 at New Mount Sinai Missionary Baptist Church in Gifford.
Burial will follow at Gifford Cemetery.
