Drop off unused or expired prescriptions on April 30

INDIAN RIVER COUNTY — Citizen’s every day are disposing of prescription drugs in the wrong manner, and these drugs can get into the wrong hands. The Indian River County Sheriff’s Department has asked that you please turn in your unused or expired prescriptions to one of the drop off sites listed below on Saturday, April 30.

A $5 gift card donated by CVS, will be given out while supplies last.

Locations:

Walgreen’s: 13613 Roseland Rd. in Sebastian

CVS: 4215 9th St SW in Vero Beach

Walgreen’s: 1705 US1 in Vero Beach

Perkin’s Pharmacy: 4015 20th Street in Vero Beach

Indian River Estates (East): 2250 Indian Creek Rd. in Vero Beach

DO bring unused or expired prescriptions and over-the-counter medication to one of the locations listed for proper disposal.

DO lock up all medications and keep away from children and teens.

DON’T flush medications down the toilet – It is a danger to our environment.

DON’T bring needles or other ‘sharps.” They cannot be accepted. Instead take them to the Health Department at 1900 27th Street in Vero Beach.
