Joseph Pirolozzi Sr., 93, died April 2, 2011, at his home.
He was born in Tufo, Italy, and later immigrated to the United States in 1927.
He lived in Vero Beach for 27 years, in Newberry for 20 years, and in Fort Worth for nine years.
He was a veteran of the Army, and his campaigns took him to Normandy, Northern France and Germany.
He was a master bricklayer.
Survivors include his wife, Katie; daughter, JoAnn Pirolozzi, of Fort Worth; son, Joseph Pirolozzi, of Tampa; and two grandchildren.

A Rosary will be recited at 6:30 p.m. April 5 at Shannon Rufe Snow Funeral Chapel with visitation following from 7 to 8:30 p.m.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m. April 6 at St. John’s the Apostle Catholic Church in North Richland Hills, Texas.
Interment with military honors will follow at 2 p.m. at Dallas/Fort Worth National Cemetery in Dallas, Texas.
