Treasure Coast Gator Toast set for May 3

VERO BEACH —  The University of Florida’s Treasure Coast Gator Club will hold its annual Treasure Coast Gator Toast 2011 Scholarship Awards Dinner on Tuesday, May 3 at The Moorings Club in Vero Beach from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m  Tickets are $55 for UFAA members, $65 for non-members and children under 12 are $25.

This year’s event will feature two outstanding speakers.  Florida fans will be proud to welcome Gator Football Great Riley Cooper, currently a wide receiver for the NFL’s Philadelphia Eagles. Riley was one of quarterback Tim Tebow’s most favored receivers and was also an outstanding baseball player at UF.

Andy Fletcher, who was recently appointed as associate vice president of marketing and public relations for UF, will also make a presentation on the school’s national branding campaign.  Andy is a popular speaker on the advertising industry circuit whose career spans more than two decades in ad agency leadership roles.

The Awards Dinner will include scholarship presentations to selected students from Indian River and St. Lucie Counties attending UF in Gainesville or IREC in Ft. Pierce.  In addition to recognizing the scholarship recipients and the speakers, the event will include dinner, one-of-a-kind silent auction items and TCGC Gator gear and prizes.
