Theresa ‘Terry’ Delia Morton, 85, Vero Beach

Theresa “Terry” Delia Morton, 85, of Vero Beach, died Feb. 18, 2011, after a brief illness.

Terry was born Jan. 13, 1926, in Brooklyn, N.Y.

She later moved to Miami and married Horace H. Morton, who predeceased her in 1998.

They moved to Vero Beach in 1963.

Terry was a retired entrepreneur and a real estate investor along with her husband, who had established One Hour Martinizing Dry Cleaner, now 5th Avenue Cleaners, as well as Sandpiper Valet and Skyline Scaffold.

She was an avid tennis player at Twin Oaks.

She played bridge at Vero Beach Bridge Club and had many friends at Longevity Spa.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Drena and Cliff St. John, of Vero Beach; son and daughter-in-law Scott and Sally Morton, of Vero Beach; grandchildren, Emily Taft and husband Wes and Mary Catherine Morton, of North Carolina; great grandchildren, Tessa Jaco, of Vero Beach and Ray and Spencer Taft, of North Carolina.

Visitation will be 10 a.m., Feb. 23 at Strunk Funeral Home in Vero Beach.

Funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. at the funeral home.

Interment will be in Crestlawn Cemetery, Vero Beach.
