Currently celebrating their 33rd year, the Denison Hilltoppers are the only all-male acapella choir on the Denison University campus. Founded in 1831, Denison University is a private, residential liberal arts and sciences college in Granville, Ohio, approximately 30 miles east of Columbus,Ohio .
The Hilltoppers perform an eclectic mix of tunes from ranging from pure barbershop to modern pop, rock and jazz sounds, and have toured across the country with a highlight of performing for President Clinton’s inauguration in 1997.
The Hilltoppers were founded on Halloween night in 1978 when two young men decided to serenade outside their girlfriends’ dormitory. Now the group has grown to include 12-16 young men from all over the United States.
Their visit to Vero Beach will also include a performance for the Saint Edward’s Upper School.
Performing in their blue sports coats and khaki pants, the Hilltoppers bring the sound of “ivy league tradition” to the stage. Watch the Hilltoppers at www.youtube.com/user/DenisonHilltoppers.
