VERO BEACH — The “Half-Hour Yappy Hour,” on 1490AM, made its radio show debut on Saturday, December 4. The show focuses on informative pet-related topics and airs across the Treasure Coast every Saturday on 1490AM from 11 to11:30 a.m. The first expert guest was veterinarian Dr. Darrell Horn from the Florida Veterinary League discussing how to keep your pets safe from potentially toxic issues around the holidays.
Host, Martin Lavander, owner of Blue Ribbon Boarding and Grooming, utilizes profits from this show to benefit the Blue Ribbon Yappy Hour Fund, which helps pets of Indian River County. Known for his Yappy Hour fundraisers which have successfully raised thousands of dollars for Indian River K-9 vests and supplies, Lavander is excited about this new endeavor.
The Half-Hour Yappy Hour show will be covering topics that will both educate and entertain listeners. The Half-Hour Yappy Hour show is sponsored by Blue Ribbon Boarding & Grooming, Perfected Pen and the Florida Veterinary League.
