Herta Helene Tamburr, 92, died Nov. 16, 2010, at the VNA Hospice House, Vero Beach.
She was born in Ober Wuestegiersdorf, Germany, and immigrated to the United States in 1927. She lived in Sebastian since 1981, coming from Rivervale, N.J., and Goshen, N.Y.
She was a homemaker.
She was a founding member of the Rivervale Public Library and the Sebastian Public Library.
She was a volunteer coordinator at Arden Hill Hospital and she was a Girl Scout leader and Cub Scout leader.
She was a member of the Goshen Art Group and the Sebastian Art Club serving as secretary.
Survivors include her son, Joseph Tamburr, of Slingerlands, N.Y.; daughter, Laurie Furlong, of Sand Lake, N.Y.; brother, Karl Hoffman, of Midlothian, Va.; and two grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Ruth Hoffman; son, Karl Tamburr, and husband, Joseph Tamburr.
