FELLSMERE — Fellsmere City Hall will be closed Friday as staff moves to the Historic Fellsmere School next door. During the transition, which officially begins Thursday, residents should be advised that there could be intermittent interruptions to the telephone/email communication systems beginning after 1 p.m.
The city’s staff anticipates opening for business as usual at the Historic School on Monday, Oct. 25 at 8:30 a.m. Any additional unforeseen telephone, email and/or computer issues should be corrected at that time.
The following city offices will be closed Friday: Finance/Administration, Water/Wastewater Department, Community Development Department (Building, Planning and Business Tax Receipts), and the City Clerk and City Manager’s Offices.
Once City Hall opens in the school, residents can go there to speak with city staff about various issues or concerns.
The Fellsmere City Council will continue to conduct its regular meetings in the current Council Chambers.
The Official Grand Opening will be held in conjunction with Fellsmere Day’s Annual 100th Birthday Celebration on April 2, 2011.
