Dorothy Katherine Annunziata, 88, Vero Beach

Dorothy Katherine Annunziata, 88, died July 3, 2010, at VNA Hospice House, Vero Beach.

She was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., and lived in Vero Beach for nine years, coming from Delray Beach.

She was a member of St. Helen Catholic Church, Vero Beach. She was a member of the Senior Resource Center.

Survivors include her sons, Patrick Annunziata of Massapequa, N.Y., and William Annunziata of Hawley, Pa.; daughter, Phyllis Esposito of Vero Beach; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, John Annunziata.

Memorial contributions may be made to Visiting Nurse Association and Hospice Foundation, 1110 35th Lane, Vero Beach, FL 32960.

Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p. m. and 6 to 8 p.m. July 5 at Strunk Funeral Home, Vero Beach, with a prayer service at 7 p.m. at the funeral home.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. July 6 at St. Helen Catholic Church, Vero Beach.

Entombment will be at Our Lady Queen of Peace Cemetery, Royal Palm Beach. A guest book is available at strunkfuneralhome.com.

11-year-old breaks into church, steals laptop on Christmas Day

GIFFORD — An 11-year-old who deputies said broke into a church and stole a laptop on Christmas Day, was detained. Deputies also arrested the boy's mother after saying she failed to report the boy as missing. The Gifford youth told deputies he stole the $700 laptop because "he wanted something to play with," reports show. Deputies said the juvenile was a runaway. An arrest report noted the incident took place at St. Peter's Missionary Baptist Church, located just south of St. Peter's Academy. Both facilities have the same address at 4250 38th Avenue, Gifford. SEBASTIAN — Billy Wilson's impact on the community over the years was evident Saturday as family, friends, coaches, school board members and deputies gathered to pay final respects.
