Maud Emma Cianci, 73, died June 18, 2010, at VNA Hospice House in Vero Beach. She was born in Sunnyside, Newfoundland, and lived in Vero Beach for 15 years, coming from Key Biscayne and Southington, Conn. She was a member of the Twin Ponds Country Club, Utica, N.Y.; La Gorce Country Club, Miami; and Bent Pine Country Club, Vero Beach. Survivors include her husband of 20 years, Nicholas M. Cianci Sr. of Vero Beach; brother, William Temple of Newfoundland; sisters, Jane Soper, Lillian Temple and Marion Seward, all of Newfoundland; stepsons, Kenneth E. Cianci of Cheshire, Conn., and Nicholas M. Cianci Jr. of Meridan, Conn.; and stepdaughters, Harriet Cianci of New Britain, Conn., and Regina Bogdan of Farmington, Conn. She was preceded in death by her first husband, James S. Girmonde. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society , 1401 21st St., Vero Beach, FL 32960. Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. June 22 at Strunk Funeral Home, Vero Beach. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. June 23 at Holy Cross Catholic Church, Vero Beach.
