INDIAN RIVER COUNTY — Twenty-two Indian River County Vero Beach Highlands water customers on 18th Avenue SW were without water Wednesday as crews work to repair a broken water valve. Upon restoration of water service, the Indian River County Utilities Department advises that all water used for the following be boiled (a rolling boil of one minute is sufficient): * Drinking * Cooking * Making ice * Brushing teeth * Hand washing dishesBottled water may be used as an alternative.This boil water notice will remain in effect until a bacteriological survey shows that the water is safe to drink.
