Michael Edward Hogan Sr., 87, died May 28, 2010, at Indian River Medical Center.
He was born in Cohoes, N.Y., and spent winters in Vero Beach since 1990. Before retiring, he worked for the Norton Co. in Watervliet, N.Y.
He was an Army veteran of World War II, serving in the European Theatre. He was a member of St. John of the Cross Catholic Church, Vero Beach; the Veterans of Foreign Wars; American Legion; Elks; and Eagles.
Survivors include his wife of 67 years, Irene K. Hogan of Vero Beach and Argyle, N.Y.; sons, Michael Hogan Jr. of Clifton Park, N.Y., and Dennis Hogan of Ballston Spa, N.Y.; daughter, Christine Hogan-Kilburn of Queensbury, N.Y.; brother, Bernard Hogan of Garland, Texas; nine grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his son, William Hogan.
