Harry F. Endres, 77, died March 18, 2010, at the Indian River Medical Center, Vero Beach. He was born in Norfolk, Va., and lived in Vero Beach since 1987, coming from Plymouth, Mass.
He had served in the Navy and Air Force for 16 years and was a veteran of the Korean War. He was a heavy equipment operator and worked in maintenance for the Comfort Inn and Encore RV Park.
Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Lucille A. Endres; daughters, Donna Sweet and Cheryl Manny, both of Vero Beach; sons, Bruce Endres, Paul Endres, Matthew Endres Sr., John Endres and Peter J. Endres, all of Vero Beach; sisters, Virginia Geary of Rockland, Mass., Betty Kendrick of Braintree, Mass., Dolores Bergman of Maine and Patricia Earle of Palm Bay; brothers, Ronald Endres of Melbourne and Theodore Endres of Orlando; 21 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Charlene Ayala; and brothers, Kenneth and Raymond Endres.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. March 23 at Cox-Gifford-Seawinds Funeral Home, Vero Beach. A funeral service will be at 11 a.m. March 24 at the funeral home.
Interment will follow at Crestlawn Cemetery with military honors by Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3918. A guest book may be signed at sea windsfh.com/obit.php.
