20 units at Preserves of Oslo without water after fire line hit

INDIAN RIVER COUNTY — Water has been shut off for 20 units within the Preserves of Oslo Monday after a contractor hit a fire line at 2380 10th Rd. SW, Vero Beach.

Mamisha Property Management Company is in charge of the repairs and all questions regarding the repairs should be directed to them by calling (772) 978-0799. How long water is expected to be off was not immediately known.

Upon restoration of water service, the Indian River County Utilities Department advises that all water used for the following be boiled (a rolling boil of one minute is sufficient):

Drinking

Cooking

Making ice

Brushing teeth

Hand washing dishes

Bottled water may be used as an alternative.

This boil water notice will remain in effect until a bacteriological survey shows that the water is safe to drink. The department is unable to provide an exact time of survey completion, though it should be no more than 72 hours.

A rescission notice will be distributed.
