Winifred Louise Ledbetter, 93, died March 8, 2010, at Indian River Medical Center.
She was born in Mamou, La., and lived in Vero Beach for three months, coming from Hampton, Va.
She was a homemaker, and worked as a secretary at Williams Air Force Base in Arizona. She also did clerical work in Arizona, Maryland and Virginia. She lived on military bases in Tokyo, Paris and Beirut, Lebanon.
Survivors include her daughter, Mary Louise Tabakow of Oman, Middle East; sons, David L. Smiths of Hampton, and John H. Ledbetter of Vero Beach; eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, LLewellyn Harper Ledbetter in 2000.
