Marion M. Alaimo, 81, Vero Beach

Marion M. Alaimo, 81, died Feb. 1, 2010, at Indian River Medical Center. She was born in Wilkes-Barre, Pa., and lived at Village Green in Vero Beach for 31 years, coming from her birthplace. She was a member of St. John of the Cross Catholic Church and the Italian American Club, both of Vero Beach. Survivors include her sons, Gregory Alaimo of Philadelphia and Louis Alaimo of Fort Collins, Colo.; daughters, Rose Ann Brant of Merritt Island, Charlene Hoch of Vero Beach and Angela O’Donnell of Bronxville, N.Y.; sisters, Louise Gryscavage of Royersford, Pa., and Dorothy Savage and Jean Crawley, both of West Palm Beach; and six grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Alaimo, in 1968; brother, Sam Salvi; and sisters, Rose McDonough and Theresa Mednitsky. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at noon Feb. 6 at St. John of the Cross Catholic Church in Vero Beach. Arrangements are by Thomas S. Lowther Funeral Home and Crematory in Vero Beach.
