In partnership with Workforce Solutions, scholarships are being offered through a Federal Grant to eligible individuals in the following areas:
Introductory Construction Craft Skills – The NCCER (National Center for Construction Education and Research) 80-clock hour Core Construction Curriculum: Introductory Craft Skills focuses on the following areas pertinent to construction including introduction to safety, construction math, hand tools, power tools, blueprints, basic rigging, communication skills, and employability skills. In this course you will learn or increase your knowledge of construction and be prepared to work at a construction site. Upon successful completion of the course and exam, you will receive a 10-hour OSHA Construction Safety Card, NCCER Card and Certification in their national registry.

Your Role in the Green Environment – The future is GREEN, and you can be a part of the fastest-growing segment of the construction industry. This 15-hour course is geared to entry-level craft professionals or to anyone wishing to learn more about green building. You will receive fundamental instruction in the green environment, green construction practices, and green building rating systems. Upon successful completion of the course and exam you will receive an NCCER Card and Certification in their national registry. Your role in the Green Environment will prepare you for the Green Advantage® Green Building Certification. Upon successful completion of the course and exam you will be eligible to take the LEED AP Exam.

OSHA Construction Safety & Health Course – This 30-clock hour OSHA Construction Safety & Health Course is designed specifically for supervisors in the construction industry. Learn how to protect yourself and your employees from possible serious injuries and /or death. This course covers OSHA policies, procedures, and standards for the construction industry as well as safety and health principles. Supervisors, learn your rights and responsibilities under the provisions of the OSHA Act and how to use them effectively in the workplace. Upon successful completion of the course and exams, you will receive a 30-hour OSHA Construction Safety Card.
