Mrs. Josephine Venci, 81, died December 28, 2009 at Savannah Court Assisted Living Facility, in Orange City.
She was born in Scottdale, Pa., and lived in Aliquippa, Pa. for most of her life. She was employed by Atlantic-Richfield for 25 years.
She was a resident of Vero Beach for 22 years before moving to DeLand in 2004.
Mrs. Venci was a member of St. Helen’s Catholic Church, Vero Beach.
Survivors include her stepson, Paul E. Venci of Altoona, Pa.; stepdaughter, Donna Lee Schmitt of Indiana, Pa.; 2 step-grandchildren and 1 great-step grandchild; brother, Joseph Giammanco of Murraysville, Pa.; sister-in-law Scherry Giammanco, Aliquippa; sister-in-law Ethel Giammanco, Metairie, La.; sister-in-law Ruth Giammanco, Luling, La.; sister-in-law Ida Giammanco, DeLand; nephews Jim, Michael and Richard Giammanco and nieces Kay Burch, Lia Thompson, Vincetta Giammanco and Gia Giammanco and 10 great-nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Venci was preceded in death by her husband, Paul E. Venci.
Visitation will be from 10:30-11:30 a.m. on Jan. 5, 2010 at Strunk Funeral Home, Vero Beach.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated noon on Jan. 5, 2010 at St. Helen’s Catholic Church, Vero Beach.
Entombment will be in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Ft. Pierce.
