Sponsors of the Hibiscus Children’s Center Winter Gala were treated to a private VIP cocktail party November 19 at the Quail Valley River Club. Designed to thank the supporters for their support of the gala and the organization, the party also gave guests a glimpse of the excitement to come at the upcoming December 5 Illusions themed gala at the Moorings.
The room was enhanced by delightful music from harpist Sara Bartal and was mystically lit with colorful Chinese lanterns and glowing candle globe centerpieces. Illusionist Jeff Edmonds continually surprised guests with slights of hand and puzzling card tricks that left everyone shaking their heads in amazement.
Mercedes Benz Porsche Audi of Melbourne is the gala’s presenting sponsor. Other major sponsors include the George E. Warren Corporation, Nancy and Mel Goodes, Maureen and Peter Kleinknecht through the Knight Vision Foundation, Linda and Mel Teetz.
Committee co-chairs Carole Casey and Sue Sharpe have lots of exciting things planned for the Gala, including circus acrobatics and a magician, a wine lottery, jewelry raffle chances, silent and live auction items, and of course a gourmet dinner.
