Vero attorney suspended for 1 year, FL Bar says

A Vero Beach lawyer faces a one-year suspension following accusations he did not properly supervise employees, who authorities said misused client funds among other offenses, according to the Florida Bar. The Florida Supreme Court suspended Jonathan Fredrick Bull. His suspension will be effective 30 days after the Oct. 18 court order, officials said. The employees, who were not lawyers, "solicited clients, accepted legal representation on behalf of the firm, quoted legal fees, took payments and misused client funds without Bull's knowledge," the Bar said. Authorities said Bull also neglected a client's account and failed to tell clients his law firm was closed and that he was no longer representing them. Neighbor accused of spraying dogs with ant killer

INDIAN RIVER COUNTY — A 75-year-old woman suspected of spraying her neighbor's two dogs with ant killer in a residential backyard, was arrested last week, authorities said. A second neighbor saw the woman - identified as Carol Watt - walk up to the fence and spray both dogs in the face repeatedly, reports show. The neighbor told deputies he saw Watt antagonize the pets in the past by sticking her hands between the fence and kicking the fence to get the dogs' attention. The animals were a 2-year-old German Shepherd and a 14-year-old Doberman, authorities said. Police: Man kicks, stomps dog because it ate his food

VERO BEACH — A 25-year-old man suspected of kicking and stomping a Husky breed dog in a fit of "rage" - captured on camera by his girlfriend - after the dog ate his food, was arrested Sunday. The incident had happened several times in the past, according to the suspect's fiancee. But, this was the first time the attack was captured on camera, reports show. The video was not immediately available. The Husky, a girl named "Star," had a small cut on her side, reports show. Vero Beach police arrested Jack D.
